Another great review for our Early Readers

We’ve had another fantastic review from regular Maverick reviewer – Laura who writes at the blog Yummy Mummy Flabby Tummy. These Early Readers are a great addition to the Maverick Book collection and I love that they aren’t brand new stories but ones that Miss C is familiar with. I felt that they boosted her confidence when she was reading them because we had read the picture books before. We’re… Read More »Another great review for our Early Readers

“Adapting picture books that are already well-loved into early readers.”

One of our favourite Maverick reviewers has reviewed our brand new Early Readers. Mary, who writes at Over 40 and a Mum to One, has given our Early Readers an amazing review. She has also aptly published it the day that her son starts his first day of Year One. Apparently he wasn’t too thrilled to say goodbye to summer! Mary explains the difference between each of the three book… Read More »“Adapting picture books that are already well-loved into early readers.”

This Day I Love loves our Early Readers today!

We’ve had another review for our wonderful early readers which were released last Friday. This time from Leyla who writes for the blog This Day I love. George is swimming in gold star reviews!

Dolly and Regina wrote the most adorable review for the most adorable giraffe in children’s books. A Gold Star for George received 5 Dolly Heads for excellence! I love this creative story of friendship and teamwork, and a main character who is selfless and knows what it means to have good self-esteem, even when a bit disappointed. George once again proves there is no “i” in “team” and that being… Read More »George is swimming in gold star reviews!

‘Pirates’ keeps digging up great reviews!

We’ve had another lovely review from Regina and Dolly in the states! This time they reviewed Pirates Don’t Drive Diggers by Alex English. What a perfect way to mix two of little boys’ favorite things: pirates and construction trucks! This clever book was fun to read out loud. Dolly definitely loved the bouncing, jolly rhyme as she was whisked away to sea to join in this pirate adventure! I appreciate… Read More »‘Pirates’ keeps digging up great reviews!

Pirates grab another great review on the Bookbag!

Pirates Don’t Drive Diggers is fast becoming one of Maverick’s most popular titles! Most recently it has received a fantastic review from The Bookbag! “The pictures are bright and interesting, with plenty to look at and funny extras such as a cheeky crab and a grumpy seagull. I liked the stubbly-faced builders, and I also liked that the final picture is hidden away on the back page, so although you… Read More »Pirates grab another great review on the Bookbag!
