Get Ahead Fred at Birkenhead

Daisy and Fred having fun at Birkenhead. The children enjoyed designing Fred’s new hat and listening to Daisy read the story.

Fred…the movie star!

Lights… camera… action! I’m very pleased and excited to announce that my new films are available for your viewing pleasure on YouTube! I’ve been filming in the heart of movieland (well, Preston) with animator Rob Birchall. I did all my own stunts, including hanging upside down by my ankles and wrestling with livestock (though not at the same time, that would be ridiculous!). Catch up with my adventures on Maverick’s… Read More »Fred…the movie star!

Mia and Sushi visit Koob beach

We had two visitors today on the beach. Mia and her lovely dog Sushi. Mia said that Sushi needed a long walk on the wintry beach to keep him active as well as herself. I gave them a tour of Koob beach and even gave them a ride which they both thoroughly enjoyed. Scampi later joined us after his appointment at the salon to get his claws trimmed and filed.… Read More »Mia and Sushi visit Koob beach

Back to Britain

We’re back from the Caribbean – fast sailing all the way home.  It felt like we were barely there for any time at all…but we had to get back to do some PR for Peggie Sue Can’t Find the Loo.  No rest for a pirate! We sailed past Koob beach and I waved just in case Sonny the Sea Tractor saw me…but I think we were a bit far away. … Read More »Back to Britain

8th Gig – Bristol, on Thekla!

This week’s gig is a bit special.  Thekla, the venue, is a boat in Bristol – fitted out to be a bar and a club.  It’s got a bit of history surrounding it so it makes a great venue.  It even has graffiti on the side by the famous graffiti artist Banksy – so we did our backdrop in a graffiti style.  Good job the boat isn’t on stormy waters…else… Read More »8th Gig – Bristol, on Thekla!

7th Gig O2 Academy – Birmingham

7th Gig – O2 Academy Birmingham Dogs of Rock are travelling south again now, on the road with our tour bus. We’ve done loads of miles recently (including our quick trip down to Koob beach!), it’s a good job that our tour bus is top notch. Anyways the gig was fantastic; the O2 Academy is a must for any type of music fan. We rocked until 1am and then crashed… Read More »7th Gig O2 Academy – Birmingham

Book reading in Bury St Edmunds!

I am going to be the special guest at my own event! I’m going to Bury St Edmunds next week, to Waterstone’s for a book reading of Princess Chloe & the Sugar Bun Fairies. I’ve done one before and it was so much fun – I loved showing all the children my book and meeting all of the little princes and princesses. Fairy Twinkle will be there too, but she’s… Read More »Book reading in Bury St Edmunds!

Yelling Bear’s turn!

It’s supposed to be someone else’s turn to do the blog today but Teacher Bear said I could do it, so that I could tell you about yesterday. Well yesterday I yelled all day: I yelled at my mummy and then when I got to school I yelled at my friends…I even yelled at Teacher Bear. Today I’ve lost my voice, no-one’s talking to me because they can’t hear me. … Read More »Yelling Bear’s turn!

Cowboy Fred

Cattle control! Farmer Silo rang in a panic this week – his prize bull had broken loose! There’s nothing worse than a runaway beast – luckily I had my lasso handy. As you know I have a hat for every occasion and this cattle conundrum called for something special. I picked up a rather fetching red and blue stetson while out on a ranching holiday in Texas last year –… Read More »Cowboy Fred

I see a pirate ship!

We were just hanging out after a session of me singing and Scampi strumming on the guitar, (the Dogs of Rock had to leave us for a very important gig) when Stephen Seagull and Molly came flying over to us pointing over the shore. “Look!” They shouted. “There’s Peggie Sue!” We all looked up and Scampi got out his binoculars. “Oh yes, there she is in her big pirate ship.”… Read More »I see a pirate ship!
