Phew…what a journey! But we’re here now. We sailed stormy seas and then got stuck on calm waters – not a breath of wind. Now though I am sunbathing on a beach in the Caribbean with palm trees nearby. Walking past the harbour I spotted a cormorant diving for his dinner. He vanished under water with a sploosh and reappeared seconds later right over the other side! There were plenty of other sea birds on the shore, with oystercatchers running in and out with the waves and turnstones flipping the rocks in the hope of a tasty morsel. Poor scampi has got the flu and we don’t know what to do! He won’t eat, he won’t talk and he has been shivering all day. Even Stephen Seagull and Molly have been nice to him, by offering him fish that they have caught for themselves and offering to get scampi some sea water to gargle his throat with.
