BBQ a Beastie

Good afternoon!  It’s Gran here!  Last week we did Fearsome Fritters and before that Beastie Stew.  But now summer is on its way I thought I would show you how to….Barbeque a Beastie.

Now a Beastie is a bit big to fit onto a barbeque, so get your gran to get out her trusty axe and cut your beastie into bite-size chunks  (or the ribs are good for this recipe too).  Pop them on the bbq and then…

While the ribs are cooking put some olive oil in a saucepan. Add onion and garlic and fry until it smells yummy. Add the chilli (it adds a bit of a bite back into your Beastie),  and sugar.  Cook till the sugar melted. Add soy sauce and good old tomato ketchup. Season with salt and pepper.

Then get your Beastie chunks from the bbq and smother them in the sauce then pop on the oven for a bit (else the sauce makes the bbq very messy).

Serve with some nice greens and there you have it…a BBQ Beastie.
