Mum and Nanny decorated the house and garden while Dad and Grandpa made lots of tasty food. It was a nice day and everyone was hoping that it wouldn’t rain when – UH OH! We all looked up and there it… Read More »Jake, Dixie and the Rain Cloud

Gardening with Granny

Hi everyone, I’ve just got back from visiting my granny’s house.  Granny Mag was outside gardening.  Granny doesn’t have much patience and often resorts to magic to get things done, so I thought I would help her.  Of course after an hour Granny rolled up her sleeves and cast a spell.  Then the gnomes in the garden began to shiver and then move on their own!  One of them introduced… Read More »Gardening with Granny

Football on the Beach

We decided to play football on the beach today. I was the referee, Scampi was in goal and Harry and Netty played against the seagulls. Netty kicked the ball to Harry and Harry tried to kick the ball into the goal, only Molly flapped her wing in Harry’s face. “Ouch” yelled Harry “Wing ball.” I blew my whistle and shouted. Harry then kicked the ball and scored a goal! Everyone… Read More »Football on the Beach

Poco Loco!

G’day readers, let me introduce myself. It is Deputy Poco Loco here, the brains and nose behind The Dog Detectives. The sniffiest of the sniffer dogs. I’m in Outback Australia at the moment with my good mate Detective Jack. I’ve been busy with all the usual – you know, cycling, sniffing, digging up clues and solving all kinds of mysteries. Just between you and me, we haven’t been cycling too… Read More »Poco Loco!

Fortune Teller

It was very busy at Koob beach, mums and dads were playing with their children and building sandcastles. There was a large crowd gathered around the shed, inside was a fortune teller reading peoples’ fortunes.  We all wanted a go! She said that Scampi’s brother Chips would one day return for a big reunion – Scampi was not too pleased. The seagulls would be together forever – Both of them flapped… Read More »Fortune Teller

Super Sized Snail!

Hi Super fans! Me and Dixie had a big adventure this week. My Dad was out digging his vegetable patch and doing boring grown up things. So we were round the corner searching around for any baddies when we were suddenly attacked by a giant snail! Dixie jumped right to it and tried to chase it away but she got stuck in the snail’s sticky, squelchy trail and couldn’t move! I had to think fast as… Read More »Super Sized Snail!

Introducing…Jake & Dixie

Hi we’re new! My name is Jake and this is my pet cat Dixie. We love being superheroes and fighting all the baddies in our garden and in our house. Ok, we’ve got to go now, I think there’s trouble… Read More »Introducing…Jake & Dixie

Ballet on the beach

Netty and Harry danced their way onto the beach after taking their first ballet lesson. Netty was wearing a white tutu.  She showed us her pirouettes and attempted to get on her toes.  Scampi and the seagulls started to copy her, the gullies on their flippers and Scampi on his claws.  Stephen Seagull even said “We could be like the swans in swan lake” but Scampi replied “More like the… Read More »Ballet on the beach
