Game of Stones wins Sheffield Childrens Book Award – Picture Books!

Maverick Publishing are delighted to announce the success of their book Game of Stones in last weeks Sheffield children’s book award. The book written by Rebecca Lisle and illustrated by Richard Watson, won the picture book category (5-7 years), from a shortlist of Daisy Doodles (Oxford University Press) and Perfectly Norman (Bloomsbury). 30th Sheffield Children’s Book Awards announced tomorrow!

Steve and Kim have left for Sheffield and we are crossing all our fingers and toes here in the Maverick office for tomorrow’s announcement of the picture book winner! Our Game of Stones by Rebecca Lisle with illustrations by Richard Watson is on a shortlist of three.  Can’t wait to hear the result of the voting tomorrow!
