Four Little Pigs School Reading

Due to the excitement going on at Maverick last week I forgot to tell you all how my book reading went!  There were lots of children there – all about my age…six, seven and a few eight year olds.  We all wore our dressing gowns and brought our favourite teddy bears.  It was all very exciting. Then everyone sat down to have the Four Little Pigs read to them.  Afterwards… Read More »Four Little Pigs School Reading

A Fearsome Beastie?

There’s something outside I can hear it breathing.  It sounds awful, like bagpipes full of stones.  Perhaps it’s just the neighbour’s cat but something tells me it’s not.  You know when your hairs on your arms stand up on end…Well that’s happening to me at the moment. I hope it’s not the Fearsome Beastie…Perhaps I should take a look?  Here goes…     To find out what the beastie looks… Read More »A Fearsome Beastie?

Super Magic Lightning Boy on Daybreak!

Did you see us?  We were on the TV – my creator Scott and the real Jake.   We were on ITV’s Daybreak just at the time when people watch before going to school.  There must have been squillons of people watching.  It was so exciting – I have been showing it to all my friends!  I recorded it and everything!   We were also in loads of newspapers.  Super Magic Lightning… Read More »Super Magic Lightning Boy on Daybreak!

Mrs MacCready’s Full English

Well with New Year well behind me, so is my resolution.   I started today with a full English…yum yum yum!  I just love sausages, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, chips, fried bread, a slice of toast covered in butter,  bacon, onions and of course the all important fried eggs. There is nothing better than a full English breakfast to start the day…Now lunch is a whole different matter.  My neighbours… Read More »Mrs MacCready’s Full English

The Fearsome Beastie

My mummy told me last night all about the Fearsome Beastie.  He lives in a cave and sometimes when you walk near you can hear his tummy growling because he’s hungry. Mummy says that he is really big and has sharp claws and dripping jaws.  No-one has seen him very well but mummy is sure he has two tails and teeth like sharpened nails. He sounds very scary.  I hope… Read More »The Fearsome Beastie

The Four Little Pigs Book Reading

We have an exciting event coming up next Friday (14th): a bedtime party during the daytime! – I am wearing my pyjamas in the Four Little Pigs story so I am already half way there.  It’s with Armadillo, the online book magazine and with Downsend school in Leatherhead. Mrs MacCready’s New Year Resolution

Hello my name is Mrs MacCready and i’m ever so greedy! Did you have a good Christmas? I did. It started with breakfast. Not too much. I wanted to leave room for lunch. Some porridge, bananas, toast, marmalade, a muffin and a teeny-weeny bit of chocolate. Then I opened my present. I always give myself a big hamper full of my favourite things to eat. Next it was time for… Read More »Mrs MacCready’s New Year Resolution
