SHEEP FUN AT THE LIBRARY!

Granny Mutton author Amanda Brandon brought socks, scarves and sheep fun to Rayleigh Library recently.

Children checked in for a morning of story-telling and crafts based on Amanda’s farmyard Granny Mutton Yarn series of picture books, plus a chance to see Granny’s famous 13ft long knitted scarf!

Amanda whose latest book A Knit and a Knot features Little Lionel on the hunt for Granny’s missing wool said, “It was great to receive a warm welcome from the town’s children and library staff.”

“The children made some woollen dream catchers and fluffy sheep pictures and then we all enjoyed playing the socks matching game. It was a great to meet so many enthusiastic young readers for the start of World Book Day.”
