David at What’s Good to Read just loved the second book in the Dino Wars series The Trials of Terror by Dan Metcalf and illustrated by Aaron Blecha so much he gave it 5 out of 5!:
‘Dino Wars: The Trials of Terror is a fun and engaging story, featuring a cast of characters that children can enjoy and relate to. With plenty of twists, turns, adventure, danger and best of all, eccentric dinosaurs including the tech loving inventor, Dag, and a Raptor with a bad attitude.
This is a fun story that I loved reading, and children (age 7 years +) will thoroughly enjoy it – after all who wouldn’t enjoy dinners of raw and cold regurgitated fish?Â
The illustrations scattered throughout the book are once again expertly drawn by illustrator Aaron Blecha.
As with the first book some of the dinosaur names will be a bit of a challenge for younger readers and will maybe require some help, but it doesn’t really detract from the story and is fairly easy to read and split up into manageable chapters (144 pages).
If you have children that love dinosaurs, adventure, danger and fun then order a copy today! I’m sure they won’t be disappointed.
I can’t wait for the third part; The Gladiator Games.’
