‘This will definitely hook my year 6s in next year and I can’t wait to share it with them’ Toppsta Reviews

This was a really good book. Nicolas lives in the sewers until a strange lady helps him out. Then the lady disappears and he needs to rescue her.

I really enjoyed this book. It is exciting all the way through, and has lots of cliff hangers and plot turns. It is fun to read, and I couldn’t put it down.  I also felt like I learnt a bit about what it might have been like as an orphan in Victorian times.  I think children 8 – 12 years old would enjoy it.

Read this as a precursor to sharing with my class next year! They will love the build up of suspense that is used in the book!
I have really enjoyed it myself! The use of speech for the characters really makes you feel as if you are there with them!

I just have endeavoured this book! It’s full of mystery, adventure and a little misadventure. I totally recommend this for anyone who wants to be kept on their toes and lives a little mystery and suspense. What a fab book!

This is a really really good book that I couldn’t put down and wanted to read it in one sitting. In this book Nicholas Nabb stumbles across his long lost mother and has to go on an adventure to save her, which doesn’t always go to plan, hence the title the misadventures of Nicholas Nabb. I would describe this book as a mystery and adventure book and would recommend it to anyone who likes an adventure.

I was going to keep this book to read to my Year 6 class in September but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it myself! It’s full of fun, plot twists, pies (!) and humour! Nicholas Nabb is such a great character and you find yourself rooting for him from the start! This will definitely hook my year 6s in next year and I can’t wait to share it with them and introduce them to some of Jenny Moore’s other brilliant books!

This is the greatest show!! The kids like the showman and this has a few vibes..there’s a circus a cheeky young chap and lots of laugh out loud moments.
The children liked the adventure and mystery aspect I liked the old style London. Really good read!
