Aarrrr Me Hearties! Pirates Vs. Monsters, the debut picture book from David Crosby, has been shortlisted for the Bishops Stortford Picture Book Award!

Now in its 12th year the annual Bishop’s Stortford Picture Book Award invites schools to participate by sharing the shortlisted books and casting votes for their favourite titles. Join children’s book author and illustrator, and last year’s winner, Ross Collins, as he introduces a show of short films from this year’s shortlisted authors and illustrators, before announcing this year’s winner! We couldn’t be happier to be in the running for such a fantastic award, especially for this unconventional pirate book to be listed amongst some really fabulous titles from the likes of Tom Percival and Julia Donaldson!

David, Lee, as well as the whole team here at Maverick, would love for this epic tale of Pirates, Monsters and consequences to be in with the chance of winning, and voting is open now!
