‘Invites readers to embrace themselves for their unique qualities.’ Youth Services Book Review Checks Out ‘I’m Not Cute, I’m Dangerous’

Linda Broderick, over at Lincoln Street Elementary School, has reviewed debut author Bruna De Luca’s cutesty-wootsy picture book, all about a very fluffy croc!

Fifi was born furry and incredibly cute – not the best characteristics for a crocodile. Teased by her sisters, Fifi goes in search of a solution!

Fifi the crocodile has the misfortune of being born a fluffy and cute crocodile rather than fierce and dangerous-looking like her friends and family. Tired of being teased for characteristics considered less than desirable for a crocodile, Fifi could not seem to toughen up her cuddly exterior. Finally, Fifi decides to embrace her fluff and cuteness and settles on being “dangerously cute”.  The bright illustrations provide a humorous and inviting backdrop to a playful story that invites readers to embrace themselves for their unique qualities.
