Forget Valentine’s Day, it’s International Book Giving Day on February 14th! The idea is to give a book as a gift, donate a book (or three) to charity, or leave a book somewhere like a waiting room or somewhere public where it will be read. One of the main ideas behind International Book Giving Day is to inspire kids to read and to make reading widely available to them, so here at Maverick, we’re more than on board with it. We may be biased, but we think one of the best ways to celebrate would be with one of our titles. What an excellent way to get good books the recognition they deserve, whilst contributing to a good cause. Here are a few suggestions… The Black and White Club, Miss Dorothy-Jane Was Ever So Vain, The Bunny That Couldn’t Be Found, The Pet Itch… the list continues.
