Just got back from my first job since what happened in my book Grandma Bendy.
I had noticed how there seems to be litter everywhere and the poor bin men seemed to be struggling to cope. Â All the bins had been knocked over or moved…
So anyway I got up really really early (it was still dark) and set about putting the dustbins back in the right place and putting any rubbish back in them. Â I stretched and twisted, getting every little scrap of rubbish.
By the time the dustbin lorry came, the road was all pristine and the dustbin men could easily empty all the bins. Â We wished each other good morning and then they headed off to do the rest of the town.
Made me feel really good knowing that I’d helped.
