Ellie, 11 years with her first book
At Maverick we love hearing from our authors and seeing what they are getting up to. So we were really pleased when we heard that the author of the Princess Chloe stories, Ellie Hitchcock-Wyatt, at only thirteen, has been talent spotted by a record company! Not only is Ellie a young author but she is also a singer – writing and composing her own music. Not a feat that many teenagers can boast.

Ellie produced her first CD (at 11) and she’s working on her next, which will include mostly original songs she’s written. She entered a national competition a month ago (Live & Unsigned) where she was talent spotted by the record company, BGM, who were involved in the early development of Pixie Lott. They’ve since invited her to their studios to meet her and “discuss her musical future!â€
