Maverick MD Steve Bicknell and Editor Kimara Nye hosted our growing family of wonderfully talented authors and illustrators at a sparkling party in the Brass Monkey pub in London on Saturday. Steve highlighted the business’s successes in 2017 and outlined big plans for expansion in 2018 and Kim and Aimee presented all of 2017 titles to the group. It was a great chance for authors and illustrators to catch up or finally meet in person, to browse the latest Maverick titles and perhaps get a few favourites signed. Our first Book of the Year competition was very popular with guests voting for their favourite book out of a shortlist of 4 titles. Bonkers About Beetroot was the worthy winner but I think we can truly say all of our 2017 books are winners!
The wine and conversation flowed… What a lovely occasion! Roll on 2018!
