30th Sheffield Children’s Book Awards announced tomorrow!

Steve and Kim have left for Sheffield and we are crossing all our fingers and toes here in the Maverick office for tomorrow’s announcement of the picture book winner! Our Game of Stones by Rebecca Lisle with illustrations by Richard Watson is on a shortlist of three.  Can’t wait to hear the result of the voting tomorrow!

Stone Underpants wins EOCT/SLS Picture Book Award 2018!

Stone Underpants by Rebecca Lisle with illustrations by Richard Watson has just won the EOCT/SLS Picture Book Award 2018! The book triumphed over other shortlisted titles chosen by KS1 children across 6 schools in the Wakefield community at a big book event on Thursday 28th June at Ossett Academy, near Wakefield. Stone Underpants shortlisted for EOCT/SLS Picture Book Award 2018!

We’ve just heard that Stone Underpants by Rebecca Lisle with illustrations by Richard Watson has been shortlisted for the EOCT/SLS Picture Book Award 2018, which is an award for the community surrounding the Wakefield area.  Three top titles were chosen by KS1 children across 6 schools, from out of 180 possible picture books.
